What is Kratom?

what is kratom?

The Mitragyna Speciosa also known as Kratom is a tropical deciduous as well as evergreen tree that is found in the coffee family. Kratom is a native plant to the southeast Asia mostly found in Indochina and Malesia florstic regions. It’s leaves have been sought after for years and used for recreation as well as medical purposes. It is a psychoactive plant, which can be chewed, or taken by capsule which gives an uplifting mood, as well as treat pain problems. It’s banned in it’s mother land of Thailand because the government was losing tax money from it’s very large Opium distribution. Kratom acts as a Opiod receptor similar to Morphine and that’s why it’s used mostly to cure and decrease pain. It’s also used recreationally (where it’s legal). The plant is plentiful with alkaloids like mitragynine, mitraphylline and 7-hydroxymitagynine among other natural chemicals. Mitragynines has a similar structure of tryptamine and this is what’s responsible for the boost in serotonin and adrenaline. Kratom is very safe in moderation. It’s much better than taking anything over the counter or the chemical filled big mac from McDonald’s.   Kratom is a great way to relax and mellow out. There’s various strands of the plant which give you different effects. you must find out which one is right for you.  People have made claims that Kratom can be addictive, but I think that’s just a fib. It’s not any more addictive than a  Snickers bar from a fending machine or that ice cold corona that the young lady is drinking at the bar.  Kratom is the alternative route to using synthetic pain killers (which do more harm than good) There have been bans on the plant as well. The bans are there because the government wants people to buy big pharma’s “miracle drug” it’s all about profit in this world.  Just check for it’s legality in your state or country.  Do not abuse this plant because when plants are abused they get a bad name.
