Acacia Koaia Is a native tree found on the Hawaiian Islands. The Acacia Koaia is a part of the pea family and is known to have very dense wood. The tree grows in extremely dry habitats and is endangered do to cattle and other large animals. The tree pods are used by the Natives to create tea to soak in for medical baths. The bark of the tree is used mostly for recreational purposes such as making surf boards, dying cloths and creating musical instruments. The People of Hawaii have added the Acacia Koaia to conservatories to make sure that the tree doesn’t go completely extinct. Some of the natives have even started farms to replenish the Hawaiian Islands.
